Axedale’s Project Platypus

Dec 5, 13 • NewsNo CommentsRead More »

Have you seen the amazing project that our neighbours at Axedale are working on? It’s called Project Platypus and enhance and rejuvenate the Axedale River Reserve.

The Axedale home page has all the latest information and some great pictures of the work they’ve been doing to improve their community.

They have started with the removal and control of Willow infestations performed by the North Central Catchment Management Authority with money provided by the State Government of Victoria.

The works form part of the broader $3.73m ‘Caring for the Campaspe’ project (2012-16) that aims to improve the health of the vegetation along the banks of the river on both private and public land.
