Changes to Bendigo Bus Network

Dec 10, 14 • UncategorizedNo CommentsRead More »

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is proposing new routes and schedules for Bendigo Bus Network. Details ar available at the PTV website.

However, it appears that Junortoun has missed out on the opportunity to be connected to the Bendigo Bus Network. Not only are there no Junortoun specific services, but the existing Route 16 (Strathfieldsaye) bus has been re-routed to take it further away from Junortoun.

The Junortoun Community Action Group is concerned about this omission as the community clearly told us in 2012 that improved bus services mattered to them.

If you believe that regular connections to central Bendigo would benefit Junortoun’s young people, elderly people, university students, unemployed people and CBD workers then we urge you to provide your feedback to PTV.

The opportunity to comment is very small. You can:

  • Attend a community information session at Bendigo Station on Thursday 11 December, 3pm – 7.30pm. (Also being held at Kangaroo Flat and Eaglehawk – check the PTV link).
  • Complete an online survey to register your views on these changes to Bendigo bus services. The survey closes Monday 22 December.

Your feedback to PTV is important. This is Junortoun’s chance to let PTV know how important a regular, frequent and integrated bus service is to our community.
